The views are stunning, though the room cleanliness could improve.

missingWrote a review on Dec 20historical architecturefamily proximityspider sightings
The charming historical architecture adds character to the place, making you feel the weight of time as you wander through the halls. The proximity to family in the area is a major plus, allowing for easy visits without the hassle of long drives.
Encountering spiders in the bedroom and bathroom was a bit unsettling and affected our overall comfort during the stay. The water pressure in the shower left much to be desired. while it did the job, it certainly took longer to get through a rinse. We also noticed the price creeping up with each visit, which felt disappointing. The bathroom ceiling was quite low—awkward over six feet. These little quirks and concerns detracted from what could have been a stellar stay.

We stayed here with our five adult kids and had a lovely time at the beautiful golf course. The rooms were spacious enough for everyone, and we really appreciated the friendly staff who catered to our needs. Breakfast was fantastic, setting us up for the day.
My kids wished there were more entertainment options for families. A games room would keep them busy.

Had a great group trip with friends! Enjoyed the stunning walk around the Staffordshire Moorlands and played a round at the 9-hole golf course. The food was top-notch, and the staff were super friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfy—perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Only downside was a bit of noise during the night, but ear plugs were provided, and we didn't really need them anyway.

I enjoyed my stay in the Double Room, First Floor. The decor throughout the hotel felt stylish and modern, creating a lovely atmosphere. The manageress proved to be a brilliant hostess, welcoming us with warmth. Food quality impressed me. the presentation was beautiful, and portion sizes were generous. I especially enjoyed the breakfast options. The staff made a positive impact during our stay with their friendly demeanor. I noticed some external areas were a bit untidy. the creaky floorboards from rooms above were slightly disruptive at times, which impacted our quiet experience. Despite these minor inconveniences, I look forward to returning for another visit.

Lovely Countryside Getaway
We spent a night here and it was super chill! The breakfast was top-notch, my partner loved the black pudding. Plus, the staff were really helpful, even offered us a pre-breakfast to fit our schedule. The only thing was the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty in our room.
